P. S. Rege (Pu Shi Rege) was a member of the generation of navakavya who appeared in Marathi in the 1930s and 1940s.
- Born in 1910 in Ratnagiri District in the Konkan region of Maharashtra.
- Studied economics in Bombay and London in the 1930s.
- Taught economics at various colleges in Maharashtra and Goa.
- Retired in the 1970s as the principal of Elphinstone College, Bombay.
- Began writing in the 1930s and continued until his death in 1978.
Pu Shi Rege’s work in Marathi includes -
- Eight books of poems including Dusara pakshi (1966 ), Priyala (1972 ), and Suhrdgatha (1975 )
- Two collections of short fiction
- Three novels
- Many Marathi plays (Marathi Natak)
- Two volumes of essays and criticism

Interview of the great Marathi Poet – Mangesh Padgaonkar published in Marathi Newspaper Saamana.
Mangesh Keshav Padgaonkar, Marathi poet, was born on March 10, 1929 in Vengurla, Sindhudurg District, Maharashtra. A Master of Arts in Marathi and Sanskrit from the University of Bombay, he was an Editor with the U.S. Information Service in Mumbai. Although better known as a poet, he is an accomplished essayist. He is the recipient of several awards including the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1980, the M.P.
