Marathi Poem – Kititari Diwasant – B S Mardhekar

Can’t stop humming this song when I recollect those fond memories of our days in IITB….

About four years are to be over since we bid adieu to the institute. Time has just flown na …four years indeed a long time …

Four years before, about this time we were struggling to finish our dissertation, right ?

Those late night stays in lab…that returning from the lab in a bunch occupying the whole road …that shouting “Fire..fire”… before
H-11..my riyaaz in H-8 in Raag Gangule “Lohana…….. tu asa kasa sidy”…..

When I think of all this, I just smile ….

Now, we’ve travelled a bit in life …if by nothing else, at least by virtute of passge of time …

If God (not yogi ) comes and asks for one thing, I’ll ask Him to take the wheels of time back in days in IIT and make the wheels to stop for
ever.

Am I becoming effusively sentimental about those days ?

Do you remember late-night shows in H-8 TV hall ? More than what’s going on screen, we used to find more fun in observing the changes in facial expressions of uncles came for piping course )

School Nostalgia

I think everybody gets these nostalgic mood swings at least once in a blue moon. I treasure every moment I had in my school days.
Everything back in school had its own charm. Be it having silly fights over trivial issues, the gratitude we had for the teachers, the yawning in the maths classes.
